The Fantasia of Penguin

It will retire in September, 2010. The new sea law orders if the traveling ship has to own two engines, nevertheless, Doulos only has ones.

So this time was my first and last time to visit Doulos. Doulos is huge and facilities are perfect.

Volunteers can take their family in the ship, and their children also can stay in the ship-school.

When the children bake to their country, they can continue their education.

Volunteers are devout Christian, so they want to bring God’s idea to everywhere, and therefore they travel around.

Doulos is the sea library, so they sell a lot of books especially Christian books.

Introduction of Doulos：

Doulos is owned and operated by Gute Bücher für Alle e.V. (Good Books for All) – a charitable trust, registered in Germany. The ship is registered in Valetta, Malta, and so the Maltese flag is displayed at the stern of the ship. Doulos is not a government or corporate funded enterprise. Doulos serves in Operation Mobilisation International. Doulos’s mission is bringing knowledge, help and hope.

Doulos~~We are coming.

Because we want to know about the Doulos deeply, we joined the tour participant.

This is my first time to go on the ship.

We are in bridge like a captain.

We also can wear the hat of captain to take photos.

Compared with the old and new lifeboat, the old one is without smooth., because it used nail to connec.

There are too many people in the ship, so they have to take turn to wish the clothes once a week. They call the washers are angel, because they are very hard to wash dirty, stinking clothes.

The engine room was very hot.The sea library was full of people.

It was almost 40 degrees.

It is also full of oil small.

After 40 minutes, we had to say goodbye to our tour.

Before she took us to dining room to drink juice and told use about her story.

She said her mom passed away few months ago, and she is the eldest kid in her family.

She was worried about her family and her dad, so she prayed to God for help.

It's a miracle that her dad permitted her.

Finally she made blessing for us.

I just buy a postcard with world map and Doulos, because the map has Taiwan.

I can take it to NZ to introduce where is Taiwan.
